Research Interests

Elena Sheard is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the New Zealand Institute of Language, Brain and Behaviour and her primary research interest is social variation in language production and perception. Her current research focuses on the perceived social meaning of co-variation in New Zealand English, and ethnicity-based variation and change and language change over the lifespan in Australian English.
