STEMinism

Steminism is an information evening which the College of Engineering runs in around May of each year.

The event is focused on prospective female students in years 11-13 of high school who are interested in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) but we welcome anyone including parents and teachers to come along.

Speakers include some of our current students, recent graduates and staff who will tell their stories about finding their place in the world of Engineering.

We aim to

  • demystify Engineering and our related subjects of Product Design, Computer Science and Mathematics,
  • give you the opportunity to meet other women planning to study in this field and
  • meet students who are already here.

We will also talk about the career paths that are open to you and the degree options we offer.

Free drinks, nibbles and goodie bags.

The event is free, and parking on campus is free after 5pm.
