Student Colloquium and Scholarships

The Fourth Biennial Labour Law Conference of the New Zealand Labour Law Society invites students to participate in a student colloquium. This will provide postgraduate students the opportunity to present a short presentation of their current research (three minutes), receive valuable feedback as well as the chance to establish a network among both their peers and esteemed researchers in the field.

The colloquium will be held during one session of the conference. Students are invited to attend the other conference panels during the course of the conference. Please note students are also invited to present a full paper at the general conference.

Scholarships

The conference will also actively involve students. The University of Canterbury Law School in collaboration with the New Zealand Law Foundation and the New Zealand Law Society are offering ten scholarships for eligible students to attend the conference.

Accommodation

The conference venue Chateau on the Park – Christchurch A Doubletree By Hilton is the designated accommodation for the conference. A special rate will be applied for participants for the duration of the conference, 23-25 November. Conference Dinner

On the night of Friday 24 November there will be a conference dinner for all delegates to be held at the Chateau on the Park – Christchurch A Doubletree By Hilton. This is optional and will incur a cost of $170 for a three-course meal.
