University-managed postgraduate housing
University-managed houses are located withing easy walking distance to campus and offer a community environment for postgraduate students, interns or research assistants.
Who houses are suitable for
Each house is fully-furnished and offers a variety of room sizes, room numbers, and facilities – some rooms have ensuites (own bathroom), most have shared bathrooms.
Houses are selected to ensure students are warm, comfortable, and in a supportive environment. Residential Assistants provide support and organise events for residents to get to know one another.
Your room allocation will be at the discretion of the Affiliated Housing Advisor taking into consideration gender, age, nationality, and subject specialisation thus creating a community of like-minded people and life-long friendships.
Houses are booked by the room with a preference for 16 weeks or longer. A deposit of three weeks’ rent is required to confirm your place. Rent per week (including power) is:
Single ensuite room
Couples ensuite room
We also have a small number of self-contained units for couples for $250 NZD per week plus power.
How to apply
To apply, please complete an online application form. Click on "Registration" to begin your application and select "Off-Campus Housing - Postgraduate" as your term. The Affiliated Housing Advisor will contact you with available options.
