The Guide to Enrolment offers you information on how to enrol at UC for study, including application dates and course details. 

Gain admission to UC

Your eligibility for admission to Bachelor's degrees and Undergraduate certificates and diplomas is based on your previous qualifications and results.

Admission with New Zealand University Entrance

If you've achieved NCEA University Entrance, or if you have a Bursary or pre-1986 University Entrance, you'll be admitted through this category.

Admission with other qualifications

If you have another New Zealand qualification, or the international equivalent of New Zealand University Entrance, you'll be admitted through the category, known at UC as Admission Ad Eundem Statum.

If you gained your qualifications outside of New Zealand you need to check the minimum requirements relevant to the country you studied in:

If you are an international student living outside of New Zealand you might want to get some assistance with your application from an overseas representative in your country. 

Additional fees

If you are a NZ citizen or a New Zealand residence class visa holder applying for admission with qualifications gained outside of New Zealand, an application fee of $110 will be charged.

Course specific entry requirements

You also need to check each individual course your plan on studying to make sure you also meet pre-requisite or co-requisite requirements.

Limited entry

Some qualifications and courses limited the number of students they accept each year. Entry is competitive so you should apply as early as possible for limited entry courses and qualifications.

Application dates

Some qualifications and courses, particularly those with limited entry, have varying application dates.

Check the application dates relevant to you so you don't miss out. 

English language entry requirements

You must be competent in the use and understanding of written and spoken English.

Check you also meet the minimum English language requirements.
