Campus Tours

We encourage you to visit our attractive and welcoming Campus.

Guided and Self-Guided Tours are available.

Guided Campus Tours

Campus Tours are scheduled on most Mondays and Fridays during term time. At other times, you are welcome to take a self-guided campus tour.

Tours are not available on weekends or Public Holidays.

Tours on the first Friday of the month and during the school holidays include a visit to the area of study you are most interested in.

Campus Tours start at 9.15 am sharp.

Guided Campus tours include: a look at some of our Campus Facilities e.g. library, bookshop, lecture theatres, the recreation centre, student social and study spaces, and some of our fantastic new learning facilities.

Our Student Campus Tour Mentor gives insider knowledge of Campus.

A visit to the halls of residence can be added to your campus tour request form.

Please note: After offers go out on 6th of October, some hall tours will be unavailable.

If you are travelling from outside Christchurch you might like to come the night before to enjoy Christchurch and for a more relaxed visit.

Campus Cafes have great food but depending on your itinerary you may not have time for a sit down break, particularly if you are visiting the halls as part of your Campus visit.  Therefore you might like to come prepared with snacks and drinks.

Good footwear and clothing for all weather helps for an enjoyable tour.

Book your Guided Tour now.  A minimum of one week’s notice is required.

Self-guided Campus Tours

Can’t make a scheduled tour date?

You are welcome to do your own self-guided tour from 9am-4pm.

Campus Maps are available from the Student Services Centre (Matariki building) or from the Central Library.

Online maps are available or download the UC Finder App

Please do not enter restricted areas including construction sites (stay behind the hoardings).

School Tours

Teachers and Careers Advisors: We welcome school groups to visit campus.

It is a fantastic opportunity for students to see where they will be studying after secondary school and to encourage them to start planning for their future.

Open Day is the very best option for students as they will have the greatest opportunity to see the widest range of course options and Campus areas. The day includes the options of visits to the halls of residence, talks on scholarships and accommodation, and a look around Campus. It is a vibrant and stimulating day for students. We recommend it!

If your Y12 or Y13 students would like a scheduled school visit outside Open Day, please email our Liaison Coordinator to discuss options include possible dates, for a visit.
