Non-tuition fees

The following fees and levies may be charged to you where relevant and are in addition to your tuition fees.

Student Services Levy

The Student Services Levy is a compulsory student fee that funds on campus student services. Depending on the type of student you are you will pay a different amount.

Admission fees

Administration fee is a compulsory fee charged to all students of $115 NZD annually. This fee is waived if you accept your enrolment offer by the due date. 

In addition to this there are other admission fees that may be payable depending on your circumstances, such as:

Transfer of credits from another university

If you want to transfer credit from a NZ tertiary institution or transfer credit from an overseas institution you will be charged a fee of $115.

Parking

Parking permits can be bought for various lengths of time from hourly to full year.

Student visas

Only students already legally in New Zealand and who require a change in visa conditions to study may apply for a student visa on campus. All others must go through Immigration New Zealand to obtain a student visa.

Insurance for International students

Insurance is compulsory for all international students. Studentsafe is UC’s primary international student insurance provider.

You can buy insurance from another provider as long as it meets the UC minimum requirements. See Insurance for incoming students for more details.
