Māori Student Development Team

MDT Staff

Operating under the Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Māori, the Māori Student Development Team recognises that we want our whānau, iwi and friends to be proud of our achievements; therefore it is vital for you to receive the best academic and cultural support to help you on your academic journey.

UC recognises the special relationship with Ngāi Tūāhuriri, Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Ngā Maata Waka. These relationships are the foundation to UC’s responsiveness to the Treaty of Waitangi.

We’re often the first point of call for Māori students seeking assistance at UC, and if one our team members cannot help we can always point you in the direction of someone that can.

The Māori Student Development Team can assist all Māori students thinking about studying at UC, whether you are a prospective, undergraduate or postgraduate student we can help.

If you have any question or would just like to come in and meet the team - get in touch!
