There are a number of doctoral scholarships options available for students intending to enrol in a PhD at UC:
- The 'UC Doctoral Scholarships' - this is a term referring to a collection of scholarships which are funded centrally by the university. Applications for students commencing their doctoral studies between 1 February and 1 July 2025 closed 25 October 2024 and offers to successful candidates will be sent in early December 2024. Details about any future rounds will be announced in December. More details.
- Other Doctoral Scholarships - there are a number of other scholarships available that students can apply for within our Scholarships Database and summarised in the 'Other Doctoral Scholarship Options' section below. Check each scholarship's Regulations which outlines the eligibility and selection criteria.
- Departmental Doctoral Scholarships - sometimes a Department has funding that they are able to offer a student a scholarship with - check with your supervisor to see if this is a possibility for you.
- Apply for an existing project that offers scholarship funding - check out our Current Open Doctoral Scholarships page to see if there is an existing project topic that interests you which has attached scholarship funding.
- External Scholarships - try searching for a scholarship from an organisation external to UC.
