Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities
Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities is located within the UC Arts City Location. The Teece run a lot of outreach activities targeted at school students, UC students/staff and the wider Canterbury communities, to encourage young students and members of the public to engage with learning through object based inquiry. The Teece resources and activities are available online, and the friendly curatorial team are on hand to co-ordinate activities.
The Teece run outreach programmes with the key aim to:
- Encourage an appreciation of object based learning
- Inform how museum collections have the potential to facilitate active learning
- Support teaching of all disciplines to all levels of education
- Inspire young people to pursue learning at a higher level
Ilam Campus Gallery
The Ilam Campus Gallery is located within the Ilam School of Fine Arts here at the University of Canterbury. The Ilam Campus Gallery provides a range of public spaces for Fine Arts students, alumni and indsutry to stage a diverse range of arts and cultural programmes through exhibitions, performances and events for the promotion, education and enjoyment of the arts by the university and the wider Canterbury communities.
