Getting to the UC Arts City Location
Here is some useful travel information for students studying at the UC Arts city location:
Located in The Arts Centre of Christchurch, the Old Chemistry building is a place of teaching and learning for Classics and Music students. The custom restoration of this Grade 1 heritage building features a beautiful recital room, teaching spaces, staff offices, and the Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities - home of the James Logie Memorial Collection.
This location enables the University of Canterbury to maintain a vibrant Arts presence in the central city and connect with the Christchurch community through a variety of events. We also host national and international experts, creating opportunities for our students to work alongside these visitors.
We are located at 3 Hereford St, Christchurch City.
Public access to The Teece Museum and School of Music rooms is via the wooden doors from the South Quad.
Visit the Arts Centre of Christchurch for location maps and further information.
