Courses are organised by year to ensure you meet 200 and 300-level course prerequisites. When a course is offered in both semesters you can choose which semester you want to complete it in. To maintain a balanced workload, it is desirable to complete four courses each semester.
Accounting
NOTE:

Accounting - Professional Bodies' Requirements
NOTE:
- ACCT 152 is a 15-point course and LAWS 101 is a 30-point course.
- For a major in Accounting, select 60 points from prescribed ACCT 300-level courses. The courses shown are required for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). For membership to professional accounting bodies, your BCom must include specific courses. Talk to a student advisor to make sure you are taking the required courses.
- Students who commenced their BCom degree prior to 2014 are required to include FINC 203 to meet CA ANZ's requirements. There are different requirements for admission to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and/or qualifying as an Accounting Technician.
- BSNS 299 - Employability Portfolio has 180 point prerequisite. Recommended to be completed in the final year of study.
- Students who commenced their BCom degree before 2019 are not required to complete BSNS 201 - Business and Culture paper and BSNS 299 - Employability Portfolio.
Economics
NOTE:
- FINC 101 is recommended.
- For entry to honors and post-graduate study, please consult a student advisor.
- ECON 300 level courses for postgraduate study must include 15 points from either ECON321, ECON324 or ECON326

- MGMT222 is no longer required for the International Business Major. From 2013 a 200-level commerce elective can be taken instead.
