College Awards for secondary teachers
UC Arts welcomes secondary teachers who want to upskill or pursue a new field of study.
We offer a limited number of College Awards to Canterbury secondary teachers ($2000 towards tuition fees for study of a Postgraduate Certificate in Arts, or $4000 towards tuition fees for study of a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts).
Teachers can access current study assistance grants from Teachnz if they wish to study during work hours. If you have a Teachnz grant, the College of Arts will cover the portion of your tuition fees not covered by the grant. Along with the application form, teachers must submit a short statement of how this study will enhance their career, and a letter of support from their Head of Department or Principal.
