Contracting Sector
Mornez represents the contracting sector in the Power Engineering Excellence Trust, and has been a member of the EPECentre Advisory Board since January 2022.
Mornez is General Manager of Electrix and based in city Auckland.
He has 30 years experience in the Distribution industry of which 15 years are in the contracting environment. He has been with Electrix for the past 12 years in various senior leadership roles and have successfully led the team through significant challenges. Prior to that he occupied senior positions such as Managing Engineer and Chief Engineer Protection & Testing for the City of Pretoria Municipality in South Africa. He started his career with Aurecon as a young consulting Engineer. He has a Bachelor's degree focused in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Johannesburg.
Mornez has a passion for learning and sharing his experiences with future engineers.
