Lais is a PhD student whose research is focused on geoscience communication and geo-education within conventional and alternative learning environments. With a bachelor’s degree in geology (Federal University of Parana - UFPR) and a Master’s degree in geosciences (State University of Campinas - UNICAMP), Lais is interested in researching how geology subjects can be taught to people of all ages in both conventional (i.e. schools) and alternative (i.e. museums, visitor centres, etc.) learning spaces, incorporating Mātauranga Māori to teaching methods.
