Air fall tephras (or volcanic soils in general) are widespread in New Zealand. In case of past and present volcanic eruptions, the disposal and storage of such deposits is an issue of concern. My research aims to understand the geotechnical and geochemical characterisation of these deposits for the purpose of land reclamations.
