Paul Ballantine is the Executive Dean of the University of Canterbury (UC) Business School and a Professor of Marketing. He graduated with his PhD from the University of Canterbury, after which he started his academic career at the University of Auckland Business School. He returned to UC in 2007 and spent six years as the Head of the Department of Management, Marketing and Tourism, prior to taking on the role of Head of the UC Business School, and subsequent to that, Executive Dean.
Paul’s research and teaching focus is Marketing, and he has published more than fifty publications in peer-reviewed journals. He previously served as an Executive Member of the Australia and New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC) and is an editorial board member for some of the leading journals in his areas of expertise.
