About the Penguin Research Fund
The Penguin Research Fund facilitates cutting-edge research, using eDNA methods, satellite imagery, and modelling to learn about the ecology of penguins in New Zealand and the Southern Ocean. The researchers aim to understand how penguin populations are doing, what factors might cause their numbers to change, and what ways they can help to conserve penguins for future generations.
The fund will be used to facilitate students’ equipment, travel, and other costs associated with conducting research that aims to advance understanding of penguin ecology, health and conservation in New Zealand and the Southern Ocean.
