Each of the sculptural works included in our sculpture trail have been drawn from the University of Canterbury’s art collection, which is cared for by the University Library.
There are approximately 4000 works in collection, making it one of the largest institutional art collections in the region. The major strength of the collection is its representation of Canterbury art and artists, in particular those who have taught or studied at the University or at the Christchurch College of Education.
The collection is used for teaching and research, and to enhance the environment for staff and students.
