Dionysus, the god of wine, sits on a stool holding a drinking horn, while two naked satyrs caper around him. The figures are crudely drawn and difficult to identify, but the vine branch motif symbolic of Dionysus confirms the subject matter. The dance of the satyrs, depicted here with elongated limbs and tails resembling those of monkeys, reflects their love for wine and revelry.
