Emeritus Distinguished Professor John Riley is a world leader in the area of auctions and mechanism design. In 2021 he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Commerce Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.
Now based at the University of California, Professor Riley received his award in absentia.
