Now an Electrical Component Engineer at Triumph Motorcycles headquarters in Hinckley, UK, Charlotte has been involved in exciting projects.
At Triumph, Charlotte holds an important role as the component owner of all suspension control units across the entire fleet. Working closely with top-tier suppliers such as Showa and Öhlins, she ensures that Triumph's suspension systems are the best they can be.
Her first project, an Active Preload Reduction feature, is already out to customers via a dealer software update. This project marks the first software release for Triumph which offers an additional feature to Tiger 1200 bikes already on the road. This function provided customers with the ability to lower the bike by removing preload at slower speeds, significantly improving the riding experience.
Moving forward, Charlotte is involved in the development of all future Triumph bikes equipped with electronic suspension systems, though she cannot reveal more details at this time. Charlotte said her day to day is never the same, with projects ranging across various stages, from initial project scoping to prototyping and production.
