Government Careers Expo is a new event designed in 2026 to connect government organisations with UC Arts, Business, and Law students in a relaxed, conversation-focused environment.

Unlike a traditional careers fair, this event is intentionally conversation-led and focused on early engagement. Students have the opportunity to ask questions, hear authentic career journeys, and better understand how their skills and interests could contribute to the public sector.

Take a look at the 2026 Government Careers Expo.

Each year, UC Centre for Employability & Career Development, partners with Volunteering Canterbury to host a Volunteering Expo for registered not-for-profit organisations here on campus. Contact Volunteering Canterbury for more information.

This event provides an excellent platform for NFPs looking for new volunteering recruits & showcase the benefits of volunteering. It also provides our students striving to make a change, a chance to connect. We have experienced strong attendance numbers over the past few years. Registrations are FREE.
