We are committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information and digital platforms.  At the University of Canterbury, we value and support the work undertaken by the security research community and appreciate it when researchers take the time to report potential security vulnerabilities to us.

What is a security vulnerability?

A vulnerability is a weakness in software, hardware, or an online service. Vulnerabilities can be exploited to damage a system or access information.

If you find a vulnerability in a services we offer, report it through our disclosure programme.

Reporting security vulnerabilities

If you believe you have discovered a potential security vulnerability in a University of Canterbury system or service, you can report this to us by contacting us.  UC will make every effort to respond to your report in a timely manner and will correct vulnerabilities within such timeframes we consider reasonable.
