HOW TO APPLY
Our University supports Fair Trade

In 2017, UC was recognised by the Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand as a Fair Trade University, one of only two in New Zealand, and the first entirely Fair Trade campus.

We received our accreditation in July 2017, and as a university community we are incredibly proud of this achievement.

UC staff lunchrooms and kitchens stock Fair Trade tea and coffee.

Many of the cafes on campus supply only Fairtrade certified coffee. Majority of the cafes offer other fair trade products too - you can find a range of fair trade tea, drinking chocolate, chocolate bars and soft drinks acorss campus.

Currently, all UCSA cafes supply Fairtrade certified coffee from Common Good Coffee Roasters. They also supply Fair Trade drinking chocolate, Fairtrade certified flavoured barista syrups, and Fair Trade chocolate bars.

Fair trade events

The more we support Fair Trade, the greater the positive impact we have on the lives of small-scale producers all over the world. Buying Fair Trade helps create a better life for growers, workers, artisans and clothing cooperatives through long-term job sustainability, fair working conditions and funding for health care, education and other social development in their communities.
