About the Event
We welcome our guests, young and old(er), to our lab space. UC Tower Vs. Catapult is designed to give children a first–hand experience in Mechanical Engineering’s core disciplines – Design, Additive Manufacturing, Fluid Dynamics, etc. The event includes building a catapult, which participants will then be able to take home, and learning about modern manufacturing processes such as laser cutting and 3D printing. Participants will also get to experience UC’s wind tunnel and discover what Mechanical Engineering is all about. The event is specially designed for 8 – 13 year olds. Parents or caregivers are welcome to start or to drop-off and pick-up their Child(ren).
When
We invite children to participate in one of the sessions offered on the 9th -10th of July: 10-12 a.m. or 1 - 3 p.m. The number of visitors is limited to 36 children per session. Tickets can be purchased here.
Fees
The fee is NZD25 per child. Caregivers are free to accompany their child(ren) without any additional charge.
