Hope or hype? NZ needs to be realistic about green hydrogen

[Opinion] The failure of a hydrogen truck deal and the removal of a major government rebate has cast doubt on New Zealand’s hydrogen energy transition.

Despite global interest in hydrogen and substantial government investment, critical perspectives on hydrogen’s viability are lacking in local debate. New Zealand needs to incorporate critical viewpoints to make informed decisions on hydrogen strategy.
