HOW TO APPLY

During February 2024, UC Libraries transitioned to a new MultiSearch discovery platform and implemented some changes to our borrower policies.

Introducing a new MultiSearch

We are now using a new version of MultiSearch. This is one of the tools you use to search for resources at the University Library.

It is a minor change and those of you returning to UC might notice a slight change to the look and feel of the application when you are searching for resources. Remember to update any bookmarks to this important resource.

Contact your Subject Librarian if you have any questions regarding this change.

Updates to our Library Policies

One of our core values is ensuring our library promotes equity and understanding in the way we support our borrowers.

We have conducted a review of our policies and made some changes to reflect what is important to us.

We have increased the standard loan period for students and removed fines for overdue material from most of our collections. We still apply fines for High Demand course material or recalled items.

The new policies took effect from Semester One 2024.

Library account and login

UC Libraries have upgraded the system that Librarians use to manage our print and electronic resources. The previous system was introduced in 1995, so was long overdue for replacement. We are now more digital than ever and our new system, FOLIO, is designed to support that.

You can log into your library account using single sign on (SSO). More information about logging in can be found here.

We are excited about the new system, but it's going to take some getting used to - you might notice we are a bit slow as we learn something new. Library staff appreciate your patience while we get familiar with the new system.
