Dressed in the colour of the SDG they cared most about, students from across Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury (UC) joined AM Groove, celebrating the 17 SDGs and especially SDG 3 – Good health and wellbeing.
Resident DJs, from student club DJ Soc, spun the tunes in the Foundry from 7am to 9am, while Wellbeing Navigators ran the smoothie bikes to keep healthy smoothies coming.
Participants were asked to wear the colour of the SDG they cared most about as a way to create awareness of the SDGs and UC’s commitment to embedding SDGs into research and teaching.
The SDGs are a framework coordinated by the UN and signed by member countries to create a more peaceful, equitable and sustainable world by 2030.
