05 May 2023

Inspiring experts and business leaders, including former Director-General of Health Sir Ashley Bloomfield, are sharing their knowledge in a new series of video interviews.

HOW TO APPLY

Former Director-General of Health Sir Ashley Bloomfield, left, with visiting University of Canterbury (UC) Erskine Fellow Professor Stacy Wood from North Carolina State University, is part of a new UC Masterclass Series where experts share their tips and knowledge for business success.

The Masterclass Series has been created by the University of Canterbury’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Executive Education teams and is underway now.

The series launched with two open access video interviews featuring Sir Ashley and leadership coach and Pivot & Pace Managing Partner Kendall Langston, and a new video in the series will be released each month.

Each expert interview delves into topical issues and aims to provide subscribers with knowledge to help them achieve business success.

SDG 4 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 - Quality Education

In his Masterclass video, Langston speaks about key strategy questions that every company needs to consider, while Sir Ashley covers leadership in health spaces and some of the lessons learned during the Covid-19 response.

Future interviews will feature NZervio Group and Jani-King Chief Executive Nick James, digital transformation and business IT expert Hamish Duff and entrepreneur and Edmund Hillary Fellow Doug Steiner, among many others.

University of Canterbury MBA Director Dr Elsamari Botha says the series is primarily aimed at MBA graduates, students and people working in senior roles in business fields or as business mentors, but it is open to all who are keen to subscribe and learn from leading experts.

“We’re providing quality, relevant and easily accessible information on strategic leadership topics. We’ve got a fantastic line-up of speakers with a wide range of knowledge to share, and I think there will be something for everyone in these videos.”

The Masterclass Series offers new videos each month and is available free to subscribers through an online sign-up form.
