UC Researchers are developing new Technology for Treating Wastewater

Māori, iwi and a team of researchers are developing new technology for treating wastewater to support Aotearoa to improve freshwater quality and restore the health of the rivers and streams.

HOW TO APPLY

A team of Māori, iwi, and researchers including UC academics, Associate Professor Aisling O'Sullivan (Project Leader), Dr. Ricardo Bello-Mendoza, and Dr. Tim Huber are working on a $3M project known as "Clean Water Technology for restoring Te Mana o te Wai; a partnership of Māori, iwi and scientists" to improve freshwater quality and restore the health to our awa. This project is funded by the Science for Technological Innovation National Science Challenge (SfTI) and will run for three years. There are several PhD scholarships available as a part of this project.
