First place winner Daniel Boczniewicz and Professor Megan McAuliffe at the prize giving
This year we had 13 amazing entries in the UC Visualise Your Thesis competition, creating a challenge for our wonderful judging panel (Dr Susie Stevens, Assoc. Prof. Billy O’Steen & Professor Megan McAuliffe). The prize giving was held on Friday 16 July and the following prizes were announced:
People’s Choice Award: Mohamed Mahmoud’s “Physiological mechanisms of endogenous attention lapses and microsleeps”.
Highly commended: Spencer Virgin’s “Limpets: Sentinels of change on New Zealand rocky shores” and Donald Prentice Jr’s “Beauty in the horror film”.
3rd place: MinChul Park for “What is the ringing noise? Understanding tinnitus perception from EEC activity”.
2nd place: Shnece Duncan for “The economics of neurological impairment: The case of dysphagia”.
1st place: Daniel Boczniewicz for ”Modelling stem properties for eucalyptus in New Zealand’s dryland environments”.
