Overview:
The 23rd annual New Zealand meeting on the interface of mathematics and biology in the study of phylogeny, genome analysis and molecular evolution will be held at Ahuriri, Napier. Ahuriri is one of the earliest settled areas in Napier and is a place of great cultural and spiritual significance. It’s sheltered waters offered safe mooring for sailing ships in the 19th and 20th centuries, is found adjacent to the West Quay Precinct and bustles with cafes and restaurants. Unlike earlier meetings, the programme for Deco 2019 will run from Monday to Thursday, with NO break on the Wednesday. Rather, participants are encouraged to make the most of a long weekend and the annual Art Deco festival in Napier which runs 13th-17th Feb. https://www.hawkesbaynz.com/see-and-do/art-design-and-culture/the-art-deco-guide/tremains-art-deco-festival-2019/
