About the Centre for Commercial Law and Corporate Law
The Centre was established by Professor John Farrar and a group of law teachers at the University of Canterbury in 1988.
The centre acts as a forum to exchange information, views and expertise relating to corporate and commercial law through lectures, seminars and publications.
As such, the centre aims to bridge the gap between academic lawyers, practitioners in law and accountancy, and those working in finance and industry.
The administration of the centre is based at the School of Law under a Board of Management consisting of academics and representatives from the legal and accounting professions.
