Chinese Culture Immersion Camp
Each year, the Confucius Institute at the University of Canterbury (CIUC) organises a cultural immersion camp for students learning Chinese. This unique opportunity allows participants to visit significant cultural landmarks, strengthen their Mandarin language skills through real-life practice, and gain a deeper understanding of Chinese society by spending time with a local host family. Students interested in participating are encouraged to speak with their Chinese language teacher, who can provide further information about this enriching and eye-opening experience.

For more information about the camp, please contact CIUC Project Coordinator, Dr Wenting Yang, at wenting.yang@canterbury.ac.nz.
Don’t miss out on this unforgettable opportunity! Places are limited, so we strongly encourage early registration to secure your students’ place in this enriching cultural and language immersion experience. It’s a chance to broaden horizons, build global awareness, and ignite a lifelong interest in Chinese language and culture.
