You can apply to do spatial engineering research at the Spatial Engineering Research Centre (SERC) if you're enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours BE(Hons) or a Bachelor of Science BSc(Hons). Learn more about doing an Honours degree with us.

If you're studying overseas and you'd like to do a research project at the Spatial Engineering Research Centre (SERC), we can work with you to find a project. You'll need to fund your own expenses but we'll provide academic support from leading researchers in the geospatial field. Learn more about international students at SERC.

SERC accepts a limited number of interns each year. Usually this work forms part of your studies at your local university or tertiary study institute. This study is fully funded by you. Oral and written English language competency are essential to succeed. Learn more about our internships.

Master’s research at SERC is done through our Master of Engineering (ME) programme. The research you can do depends on your background and the focus of your thesis project.
