About Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance

  • Established in 2016 through the merger of Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce and Shanghai Finance University, SLU traces its roots back to 1928, founded by Dr. Pan Xulun, honored as the "Father of Modern Accounting in China."
  • In 2022, the School of Business and Administration received full accreditation from AACSB, highlighting its commitment to excellence in business education.

About Shanghai

  • As the largest city in China, Shanghai is a modern metropolis and one of the world's largest financial centres, offering students exposure to international business, trade, and innovation.
  • With its cosmopolitan lifestyle, vibrant nightlife, and diverse dining options, Shanghai provides an exciting environment for students, complemented by world-class universities and cultural experiences.

This program is non-credit bearing and spans four weeks during the summer. Students will participate in lectures exploring various aspects of cross-border e-commerce, engage in Chinese cultural experience activities, visit companies, embark on city tours, and network with local Chinese students, among other enriching opportunities.

    • Programme fees (including course fees, meals on campus, accommodation, local transportation, and city tours) will be covered by the partner university.
    • Flights estimation: between $1,500 and $2,000
    • Other personal expenses.

These estimates are based on our own research and projections. The actual cost may vary depending on factors such as when you book, the route you take, your flexibility with dates, and the type of accommodation you choose. We encourage you to conduct your own research for a more tailored estimate.

120 points completed towards the BCom at UC (with a GPA of at least 3.0/C+ average).

Your application may be approved if you will meet the points requirement at the end of 2025 S1 assuming you pass all of your 2025 S1 courses, and you currently meet the GPA requirement (this will be looked at, and decided, on a case-by-case basis).

In addition to meeting the eligibility criteria above, students must provide a personal statement when applying for the programme, which will be taken into account in determining who is selected to participate in it. There may also be a limit placed on the number of students who can participate.

If there are more applications than places available, the basis of selection will be demonstrated academic achievement in the form of an applicant’s GPA and the quality of the personal statement. Equal consideration will be given to both criteria. Students must also be accepted by the partner institution.

    UC Business School CQ Certificate

This is an approved experience under the UC Business School CQ Certificate. Students who complete the experience, as well as meet all other requirements, will receive a UC Business School CQ Certificate.
