IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP:IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment. IELTS testing at the University of Canterbury is managed by IDP:IELTS Australia.

In New Zealand, IELTS is used as a measure of English language proficiency for immigration, university entrance requirements and other professional designations.
The cost for the IELTS test is $460 NZD (incl. GST).
IELTS test Centre Location
The IELTS Test Centre is located at the Centre for Assessment and Monitoring (CAM) on the Dovedale campus of the University of Canterbury, Christchurch.
Opening hours are 9.30am–4pm, Monday to Friday.
