Leadership comes with its fair share of complexities, challenges, and opportunities. The Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership (PGCertStratLdrship) is designed to equip emerging and experienced leaders with the professional development skills, strategies, and confidence to thrive in today's dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
The Certificate is offered on campus or online through Tuihono UC | UC Online.
To ensure that our learners have the necessary background and experience to succeed, you must have at least five years of practical, professional, or scholarly work experience of an appropriate kind.
If English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.

The PGCertStratLdrship consists of six courses (60 points) in leadership development.
You can begin studies in February, April, July, or September.
It can be completed in 9 months full-time or part-time over 1.5 years (12.5 hours of study per week), subject to course availability. The programme must be completed within 3 years.

You will study six NZQF Level 8 postgraduate courses for the Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership. These courses balance professional learning with hands-on applications to support lifelong learning in strategic leadership.
There is also the opportunity to customise your leadership development. After taking four courses on the programme, up to 20 points (two courses) may be substituted with other relevant postgraduate courses at an equivalent level.
