With an entrepreneurial soul, Salman is a PhD researcher and a circular economy enthusiast dedicated to addressing the global challenge of food waste through this research and devising an innovative solution during his PhD. Currently, he is spearheading a groundbreaking project aimed at reducing food waste by integrating transformative service research, circular economy, and sustainable development. Through his work, Salman seeks to not only minimize waste but also enhance the well-being of individuals, communities, and the planet.
Originally from Pakistan, Salman's academic journey has taken him across continents. He completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting in Australia. Motivated by a desire, Salman pursued a master's degree at Karlstad University in Sweden, immersing himself in the forefront of sustainable development and service sciences. Salman ideated his startup to reduce food waste in Sweden and continue to develop in New Zealand, moving forward with a desire to accomplish the existential goal of serving humanity by adding knowledge to research and creating a pragmatic solution with an impact.
