Ako Anamata | Future Learning and Development is a dynamic and forward-thinking division within the university, dedicated to driving positive change in teaching and learning through the effective use of educational technologies. We are committed to partnering with academic staff to enhance the quality of education and create innovative learning experiences for our students.

Our mission is to empower our learning communities, including students, faculty, and staff, to realise their full potential by providing future-focused educational opportunities and innovative learning design solutions. We understand that the landscape of education is constantly evolving, and we strive to stay at the forefront of these changes by exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies and pedagogical approaches.

In collaboration with faculty members, we co-design flexible, hybrid, and online courses that cater to the diverse needs of our students. By leveraging the power of technology, we aim to create engaging and interactive learning environments that promote active learning, critical thinking, and knowledge retention. Additionally, we work to enhance face-to-face courses by integrating technology tools and applications that complement and enrich the traditional classroom experience.

Our mahi is organised into two major areas:

• Learning Innovation and Technology: This team focuses on exploring and implementing innovative educational technologies and pedagogical approaches to enhance teaching and learning. They work closely with academic staff to identify opportunities for improvement, provide professional development and support, and facilitate the adoption of best practices in technology-enhanced learning.
  
  
• Tuihono UC | UC Online: This team is dedicated to the development and delivery of high-quality online courses and programs. They collaborate with faculty to design and create engaging online learning experiences that are accessible, flexible, and inclusive. By leveraging the latest advancements in online learning technologies, they ensure that our students receive a world-class education, regardless of their location or circumstances.
