This exhibition comprises just 13 of the 36 plaster casts from the Logie Collection. Many of the casts in the Collection reflect heroic and divine themes in Greek art, and they are explored here with this context in mind.
The casts are featured in a chronological order from oldest to the most recent. They show how artistic styles developed over time, beginning with the Archaic style of the sixth century BC and concluding with first century AD Roman copies of earlier Greek sculptures.
To assist in understanding each catalogue entry, there is a short guide to the terms, places and people referred to in each catalogue entry.
