Graduate & Internship Convention
The electric power sector recruits engineers from all disciplines, and all engineering students are welcome to come and meet the companies behind our electric energy.
This annual event allows students to meet recent graduate engineers and experienced representatives from the electricity industry and discuss career opportunities and pathways for future engineers.

- Time: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Location: Rātā Engineering Core, University of Canterbury, 63 Creyke Road, Ilam
Programme
- From 4pm in Rātā/Engineering Core, meet with company representatives at their stands and learn about their recruitment opportunities for graduates and summer internships.
- At 6.00pm join us in E7 lecture theatre to hear from an expert senior engineer for a keynote presentation, including insight into a career in the industry.
- Join us for pizza and networking back in Rātā/Engineering Core at the conclusion of the talks.
Industry Lunchtime Sessions
Are you a Second or Third Year Electrical Engineering student looking for an internship or just curious about a career in the power industry? Come along to our Industry Lunchtime Sessions to meet representatives, learn about their companies, the power industry, career pathways and find internship and graduate opportunities.
For all lunchtime sessions:
- Fridays during Term 3
- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
- Rātā Engineering Core meeting room 120
