DMPTool

DMPTool.org supports researchers to create a Data Management Plan. DMPTool is free, and is used by researchers globally. 

Create an account using your University of Canterbury e-mail address, and you will have access to University of Canterbury's DMP template. SSO access is being configured for this tool, which will make it even easier to sign in.

To use the UC template, just ensure that your research institution is set to University of Canterbury and that you have the "No funder associated with this plan or my funder is not listed" checkbox selected as in the image below.

If you have a funder specific template, DMPTool has a list of funder templates that you can start with by clicking the Funder Requirements tab in the navigation menu.  There is also a Public Plans tab where you can see the plans of other researchers that have made their DMP public.

DMPTool generates a machine-readable Data Management Plan enabling easier management of research data for the researcher and the institution.
