Te Pokapū Pūkenga Ako | Academic Skills Centre (ASC) is a free advisory service and resource hub that focuses on writing and study strategies to maximise student achievement at all levels from first year through to PhD.

Lots of UC students are living with an accessibility challenge. Te Ratonga Whaikaha | Student Accessibility Service is here to support you and help you achieve your academic goals. We provide practical study support and can make special arrangements for your exams. 

UC's halls of residence combine academic support, social events, and activities into a unique student experience. Check out our halls of residence on campus.

The UC RecCentre is your free gym on campus.  We have weights, cardio gear, group fitness classes, personal trainers, courts and a climbing wall.  Come check us out.

UC has an abundance of facilities and services on campus and in the field. From learning spaces and early childhood services to health and recreation, have a look at what's available to you. 

For emergency services (police, fire, and ambulance) call 111 from any phone. If you need general support, support for families, or support for specific needs, you can access a range of dedicated phone helplines. 

UC provides a range of services for students and staff. Whether you want to securely access your email, documents, timetable, canterbury card, library account, here are all the IT logins and tools you need at UC.

A Justice of the Peace (JP) can witness signatures on documents, certify copies of documents (including email attachments and phone messages), take oaths, declarations, affidavits or affirmations, and can confirm identity. JP services are free. See how to arrange an appointment on campus.  

UC has three libraries on campus for learning, teaching, and research. You can visit any of these and search our online collections and databases. You can also chat live with our expert staff members and book time for more specialist help. We're here to help with finding resources, referencing, and more.

UC offers a range of study support options, from Student Advisors to help you plan your courses, to the Academic Skills Centre (ASC) to improve your study skills, to tailored support for our Māori and Pacific students. Find out more and reach out if you need support with your studies.  

UC has a range of measures in place to keep our environment safe and healthy for everyone. These include 24/7 security and specialised support for our students.
