Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) at UC is excited to partner with you on your journey. Here are some useful resources to prepare for your experience and make the most of your placement. Check out this key WIL information for students at UC.

HOW TO APPLY

Welcome to Work-Integrated Learning at UC! We are excited to partner with you on your WIL journey. Read on to find useful resources for preparing for your experience, and making the most of your placement.

WIL Opportunities During your Studies

There are many WIL activities available across campus - the right one for you will depend on what you have chosen to study. For many areas, there are specific courses containing WIL which you will be required to take as part of your programme eg, Teacher Education, Social Work, Counselling, and Engineering to name a few.

Where there is not a WIL course within your programme, the PACE Programme could be for you - we offer bespoke internship opportunities, regardless of the study discipline (as long as it can fit within your degree structure).

If you are wanting to complete a WIL experience during your studies but are unsure about the best option for you, have a chat with the Ako ā-Mahi team by emailing akoamahi@canterbury.ac.nz or contact your faculty Student Advisor.
