What to expect
- Party lights and a great workout to music. Every instructor has their own unique style and musical choices, so it pays to try a few out classes and see who you fit with best. Remember, this could change over time as you gain more experience and fitness.
- All classes are 50 minutes. We sometimes offer themed rides (including Enduro) that may range from 60 to 90 minutes. Keep an eye out for these special classes on the timetable!
At your first Spin class
- Arrive 15 minutes early and let the instructor know you’re new; we can help you set up your bike and show you the ropes.
- Expect to feel exhausted – in a nice way. It takes practice to learn the intensity to ride at.
Controlling intensity
- You are in charge of your workout – the instructor simply provides the moves and motivation.
- You are in complete control of your resistance dial – you can decide to work harder or ease off at any point in the class.
Benefits of Spin
- Increase your cardiovascular fitness, strengthening your heart and improving circulation.
- Build strength and endurance particularly in the lower body, toning your quads, hamstrings, calves, and glutes without bulking up.
- Gentle on the joints while still providing a challenging workout, thanks to the low-impact nature of cycling.
How often should you attend?
As often as you like. You’ll get awesome results from three classes per week.
Make sure to book for your spot in the class – these can book up fast (but don’t worry if they do, you’ll get added to the waitlist).
Upon arrival, stop in at Reception to collect a complimentary towel and Spin token for your ‘spot’ in class. You can always check in at Reception if there’s any available spots in an upcoming class if you didn’t book.
