This is a list of Scholarships that are available for students intending to enrol at UC in the first year of an undergraduate degree in the Health (including Health Sciences, Social Work, Speech & Language Pathology and Sport Coaching) or Education areas in 2025.
Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria so check the details of each one to find out if you're eligible.
We recommend you apply for all the scholarships you are eligible for, as it is possible to be awarded more than one scholarship at a time.

UC Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education Māori Scholarship | Purpose: This scholarship recognises the value of ākonga Māori (Māori students) in Te Kaupeka Ako Faculty of Education at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury and aims to support those who are entering tertiary study for the first time. Value: $5,000 Who is eligible: First-year Māori undergraduate students intending to enrol in a degree programme in Education. Other relevant information: Applicants must have studied at secondary level either (1) in Aotearoa New Zealand, or (2) overseas at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu. Applicants must be citizens or Aotearoa New Zealand or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas. |
