CARE principles are meant to complement FAIR principles by encouraging the centering of both people and purpose in the sharing of research data. The CARE principles, developed by the Global Indigenous Data Alliance, facilitat the consideration of collective benefit, authority of control, responsibility and ethics in working with research data.
